The raid lasted for 22 hours and resulted in the freezing of Moideen's two bank accounts. The ED also uncovered suspected benami deals during the raid. The probe is linked to a massive scam at the CPI(M) controlled Karuvannur cooperative bank. Moideen has claimed that the raid was pre-planned.

Oriana Power has secured a contract worth INR 138 crore ($18.5 million) to build a 20 MW AC ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power plant in Dugdha, India. The project will be developed for Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 10,000 homes annually. Oriana Power is a subsidiary of Singapore-based GIP-backed renewable energy platform, Equis Development. The company has a portfolio of over 1.5 GW of solar and wind assets across India, Puerto Rico, and Japan.
